FAQ

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a relaxed, naturally occurring state of mind.

Have you ever been driving, deep in thought, and found that you missed your exit? Have you ever been so engrossed in a book or movie that you didn't hear someone calling your name?

These are both common hypnotic experiences where you experience a light state of hypnosis.

In my office I will teach you how to go much, much deeper…where your mind has control over your body.

When in hypnosis, you are in a heightened state of awareness, allowing us to contact the subconscious mind directly where we are able to accept change much more readily.

What does hypnosis feel like?

The concept of being like a zombie, like in the movies, couldn't be farther from the truth.

You are in complete control at all times, totally aware and alert: you are not asleep.

You will be in a heightened state of awareness and focused attention where we can speak directly to your subconscious mind-which is where we can make real and lasting changes

We use guided imagery with suggestions for positive change, specific to your particular situation.

Many of my clients report the most wonderful feeling of relaxation, saying it's better than a massage!

First we begin with any questions you may have regarding hypnosis. It is of utmost importance to me that you feel 100% comfortable.

Next we discuss your goals and desired outcome with hypnosis. I teach techniques that you can use to instantly eliminate unwanted stress or cravings and empower you to make the lasting changes you desire. Then we begin the hypnosis with a guided relaxation to a very deep state of relaxation, both mentally and physically. You will be completely alert and aware of all that is going on around you.

Then we will begin the suggestions for positive change for your particular situation. Since you are in a highly receptive state, these suggestions will become a part of you and the changes will feel so comfortable and natural.

Upon emerging from hypnosis, you will feel awake and alert and wonderful!

We will discuss the experience and how you can reinforce the suggestions made to make lasting changes .
